I wanted to wish you all a Happy Rosh Hashanah!  Happy New Year.  Today is the Head of the year on the Jewish calendar.  Unlike the Gregorian calendar that we use, the Jewish calendar goes by the cycles of the moon.  Each one of the twelve months begins with a new moon.

Unlike our Gregorian calendar, the Jewish calendar’s months are 29 or 30 days long and from time to time, an extra month is added to catch the Jewish Lunar Calendar up to the cycles of the sun.

There are three Biblical feasts that occur in the fall of the year:

  • The first one is The Feast of Trumpets or Rosh Hashanah. Happy New Year!  Beginning sundown, September 13, 2015 and ends September 14, 2015 at sundown.
  • The second one is The second one is Yom Kippur or the Day of Atonement, which is considered to be the holiest day of the year. Beginning at sundown and ending at sundown – September 22, 2015 – September, 23, 2015
  • The third Feast is the Feast of Tabernacles or Booths, called Sukkot. Begins September 27, 2015 at sundown and ends October 5, 2015 at sundown. The Great Day is the 8th Day of Tabernacles beginning at sundown October 4, 2015 to sundown October 5, 2015.

You may wonder how do these “Feasts” fit into a Christian believer’s life?  Although we are not commanded to keep these feasts, God is the one who established these Feasts.

Leviticus 23:4 Amplified Bible (AMP)

‘These are the appointed times of the Lord, holy convocations which you shall proclaim at their appointed times:

The Jewish Feasts are Prophetic & Point to Israel’s Messiah.

Second of all these Feasts are Prophetic in nature. The Jewish people didn’t seem to realize that these Feasts all point to The Messiah. For instance, The Passover Feast is about Jesus (Yeshua) Christ our Messiah being our Passover Lamb whose blood would be (and has been) shed for our sins.

All three fall Feasts have yet to be fulfilled. We live in exciting times!!!

Here are some facts concerning this year:

  • The Shemitah (Sabbatical) Year of the Biblical Year – 5775 began September 25, 2014 (Rosh Hashanah) and ended tonight September 13, 2015.
  • We are now in the Biblical Year –5776 (2015-2016) which is GOD’S JUBILEE YEAR (50th) for the Jewish nation!
  • On September 28, 2015 at the beginning of the Feast of Tabernacles… the last”Blood Moon” (Lunar Tetrad of the four) will occur, making this unique.

I think it is pretty safe to say that since Jesus fulfilled the first four Feasts (Passover, Unleavened Bread, First Fruits, and Pentecost), on the actual feast days, that He will also fulfill the last three Feasts on the actual day.  God can do anything whenever and however He decides to do them.

Many people feel that Rosh Hashanah is when Jesus will Rapture His Bride.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18Amplified Bible (AMP)

Those Who Died in Christ

13 Now we do not want you to be uninformed, believers, about those who are asleep [in death], so that you will not grieve [for them] as the others do who have no hope [beyond this present life]. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again [as in fact He did], even so God [in this same way—by raising them from the dead] will bring with Him those [believers] who have fallen asleep in Jesus. 15 For we say this to you by the Lord’s [own] word, that we who are still alive and remain until the coming of the Lord, will in no way precede [into His presence] those [believers] who have fallen asleep [in death]. 16 For the Lord Himself will come down from heaven with a shout of command, with the voice of the [a]archangel and with the [blast of the] trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.17 Then we who are alive and remain [on the earth] will simultaneously be caught up (raptured) together with them [the resurrected ones] in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord!18 Therefore comfort and encourage one another with these words [concerning our reunion with believers who have died].

1 Corinthians 15:52Amplified Bible (AMP)

52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at [the sound of] the last trumpet call. For a trumpet will sound, and the dead [who believed in Christ] will be raised imperishable, and we will be [completely] changed [wondrously transformed].

The Bible does tell us that no man knows the day or hour that Jesus will return. Matthew 24:36 says in the Amplified version, But of that [exact] day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son [in His humanity], but the Father alone.

We need to continue plundering hell and populating Heaven in Jesus Name!!!

The Bible also tells us to occupy until He comes.  What does this mean?  It means that while we are waiting His coming that we keep on working for Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  We need to be Spirit led and obey the Spirit’s leading.  SHANA TOVA…May you have a sweet and blessed year in Yeshua’s (Jesus) Name!!!
